The Flowering Dwarf Pomegranate Bonsai Tree is a Slow Grower But Looks Amazing
Tuesday, October 13th, 2009One of the best outdoor bonsai trees as far as surviving in a number of climate zones is the Flowering Dwarf Pomegranate bonsai tree. The punica granatum, as it is scientifically known, is a sub-tropical deciduous bonsai tree that features amazingly colored red-orange trumpet shaped flowers. Then, in the fall, the little tree grows small, round red-orange fruit. The rest of the year, the tree is adorned with small, dark green leaves that feature some hints of bronze coloring. The Flowering Dwarf Pomegranate bonsai takes some time to get growing—it’s a slow/moderate grower—but once it has had a few years, it starts to look really neat and different from other bonsai.
