Even during the heat of the summer, I like making my own breads and dessert breads. I think part of the reason is because bananas seem to get over ripe so fast during the summer, so instead of wasting the bananas, we make banana pancakes, muffins, and breads. The muffins and breads are perfect for breakfast or snacks – I like to add them to the kids lunch boxes as a special treat too. Now we’ll start moving onto to more cakes and breads too, like pumpkin bread and cranberry walnut pound cake. I have a variety of baking pans for these tasks, both mini pans and full size. One of my favorite pans is one my sister had given me as a gift last year, a Kaiser Bakeware La Forme Springform Nonstick Loaf Pan.

My favorite feature of this twelve inch nonstick loaf pan is that it’s a springform pan – the buckle makes it so easy to perfectly release a loaf cake. The pan is made of sturdy commercial weigh steel and has a double layer nonstick interior, so there’s no need for greasing or flouring before pouring your batter in. This cool pan is one of my most used pans in the kitchen!
