Tips for Great Golf Equipment and Accessories Selection

Friday, April 17th, 2009

These are some golf tips as well as equipment suggestions for the beginner to help in learning the ins and outs of what can be a difficult game to learn. Let’s start with golf balls. Golfing balls are dimpled so they can reach a further length when struck by clubs.

Professional golfers always have a bag or two of clubs to cater to their wishes. A golfing bag will, naturally, hold your clubs in one place and will make it simpler for you to bring many. But to guard your gear, for example your clubs should be protected from banging together and the weather with a quality golf headcover.

One mandatory piece of equipment you need is a good pair of golf shoes. Golfing shoes typically have pointed rubber on the undersides (cleats) to penetrate the earth and soil under your feet. This is critical because shifting during the stroke can make you miss the ball or do it in the incorrect direction. If you expect to play well, a quality pair of golfing shoes is an imperative piece of kit to add to your list.

Don’t overlook the golf towel as an important golf accessory either. It will absorb excess moisture from your hands so you can maintain a good golf grip on your club. You can find great golf accessories and equipment at any good golf shop. If shopping for others, find great golf accessories and gifts at The Golf Collection.

Water Filters Save Money In This Economy

Haven’t turned off the cable TV yet, but I have to tell you I’m thinking about it. It got us thinking about what would be the best filtered water filter to buy. Have you ever purchased bottled water, you know, like a case of it you would get at a grocery store or Costco? How much water are you getting? A couple of gallons at most? What is the cost $5.00 bucks, if you’re getting it at Costco. That’s still $2.50 a gallon and dozens of plastic bottles dumped in our landfills. (more…)
